International Symposium on Dupuytren's disease
It has been many years since the last international conference on Dupuytren's disease. Much has changed, but too much has not. Imagine having Dupuytren's. Imagine your children having aggressive Dupuytren's disease. With new tools and new concepts, now is time for all of us to work together to develop better options for patients affected by Dupuytren's.
The Dupuytren Foundation and Dupuytren Society hosted the 2010 International Symposium on Dupuytren's Disease in Miami, Florida. This ambitious project featured 47 speakers from 13 countries, and was be the inaugural meeting of the International Dupuytren's Task Force, a global coalition of surgeons, and biologists and patients who want to work together to find better treatment options for Dupuytren's Disease.
This symposium included academic research presentations and panel discussions regarding Dupuytren's disease and related conditions. The goal of the symposium is to raise awareness regarding Dupuytren's disease and to promote cooperative efforts to work for a cure.
The symposium will be a gathering of researchers and clinicians with a wide spectrum of interests: cell biology, genomics, surgery, pharmacotherapy, radiotherapy, biomechanics, therapy - as they relate to Dupuytren's and related conditions. It is time.
